Sports photographer in the Basque Country
Sports photographer in Gipuzkoa and the Basque Country
I’m Alex Berasategi, a photographer and filmmaker based in Azpeitia. I shoot races, mountain sports, cycling and motorsport, and I work with bike and outdoor brands from here and abroad. If you are looking for a sports photographer in the Basque Country, let’s talk.
Get a quoteEvents and races in the Basque Country
The Basque Country lives sport like few other places: the Itzulia, Zegama-Aizkorri, mountain races every weekend, cycling and mountain bike events. I have covered the Itzulia and Zegama-Aizkorri, and I know how these races are lived from the roadside, the finish line or up in the mountains.
I work for organisers, teams, sponsoring brands and media, with photos that tell the whole race: the action, the athletes, the crowds and the atmosphere.

Photography for bike and outdoor brands
The Basque Country and its surroundings are home to leading cycling and outdoor brands. I have worked with Orbea, Etxeondo, Hiru, OQUO, Conor and Norantz on product photography, action campaigns and lifestyle.
I shoot in the studio and on location, making the most of what we have close by: mountains, forests, mountain pass roads and the coast just minutes away.

From Azpeitia, close to everything
Azpeitia is in the heart of Gipuzkoa: I can quickly reach San Sebastián, Bilbao, Vitoria-Gasteiz and anywhere in Gipuzkoa, Bizkaia and Araba, as well as Navarre. And if the project is further away, I am happy to travel: I have worked in France, Andorra, Catalonia and Nepal.
What people usually ask me
